If you are looking for a true, amazing Creston and Kootney experience, you have to go to Blacktail Ridge and visit Dean and Debbie's. What a truly amazing setup. They are wonderful people. It felt like we were staying with family. You get a whole house to yourself. 3 bedroom self contained unit. Lots of privacy. Everything you could ever want. Views of the mountains and valley flats. Elk, deer and many other critters on your door step. You are in nature but have all amenities and then some. Full kitchen, gorgeous deck with BBQ, laundry facilities, internet access and wonderful Kootney coffee. Lots of parking and room for larger vehicles and RVs. If you are there for fishing or hunting, full walk in cooler is available too. If you are looking for an experience like no other, stay at the Black Tail ridge. Experience of a lifetime.

Just returned from my 3rd stay at Blacktail Ridge and the hospitality of Dean and Deb and the beauty of the area make it harder and harder to leave. The guesthouse has 3 large bedrooms and all amenities you would expect in a home. It is far enough away from the main house for privacy (but close enough to the mainhouse if you need anything from the hosts) and has a great view of the Creston flats
If you're a nature lover, the East Kootenays is the place to come as I have viewed more variety and numbers of animals than in all my other travels through the province.
I have already booked 2 other stays later this year including one with another family. Everyone is looking forward to an ecotour and some fishing on Kootenay Lake. Miss you already Blacktail Ridge!
